Effective: TBD Last updated: TBD Diversified Consulting Inc.
Draft · attorney review required These disclosures are drafted in the register typical of an independent actuarial consultancy and assume no commission arrangements, no carrier appointments, and no securities or investment-advisory activity. If any of those assumptions change, this page changes too.

Diversified Consulting Inc. is an independent actuarial advisory firm. This page summarises how the firm is organised, how it is compensated, and the professional standards under which its work is produced.

1 · Firm & principal

Diversified Consulting Inc. is a Kansas corporation. All actuarial work is performed by Glen A. Gusewelle, ASA, MAAA, who is the firm's sole principal and the only person who issues opinions on behalf of the firm. Mr. Gusewelle has thirty-five years of carrier-side and consulting experience in the life and annuity practice areas.

2 · Scope of services

The firm provides actuarial advisory services in the life and annuity practice areas, including product development, statutory and GAAP valuation, financial reporting support, expert-witness work, mergers-and-acquisitions due diligence, predictive modeling, AI agent development for actuarial workflows, governance and oversight design, and remediation of reporting issues.

Diversified Consulting does not:

  • sell insurance, annuity, or securities products;
  • accept commissions or other transaction-based compensation from any product issuer;
  • hold itself out as an investment adviser; or
  • provide legal, tax, or accounting advice.

3 · Compensation

The firm is compensated solely by its clients, under written engagement letters, on a fixed-fee or hourly basis. The firm receives no commissions, finder's fees, referral payments, soft-dollar credits, or revenue share from product issuers, software vendors, or other third parties.

Every engagement is documented in a written engagement letter signed before work begins. The letter sets out scope, fee structure, deliverable, recipient, and timeline.

4 · Independence

The firm is independent of every carrier, plan sponsor, audit firm, law firm, and software provider with which it works. Diversified holds no carrier appointments and earns no commissions.

5 · Conflicts of interest

Because the firm has a single principal and accepts engagements directly from clients, conflicts of interest are limited. Before accepting any engagement, the firm screens for:

  • adverse representation of a current or recent client in the same matter;
  • personal financial interests in any party to the engagement;
  • prior involvement with the matter in a different capacity (for example, as an officer of a counterparty).

Any conflict identified is disclosed in writing, in advance, to the prospective client. The firm declines engagements where a conflict cannot be cured by disclosure and consent.

6 · Professional standards

All work is performed in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct adopted by the American Academy of Actuaries, the applicable U.S. Qualification Standards, and the relevant Actuarial Standards of Practice (ASOPs) issued by the Actuarial Standards Board.

Mr. Gusewelle is qualified under those standards to issue actuarial opinions in the life and annuity practice areas described above.

7 · Use of work product

Every actuarial opinion, memorandum, or report issued by the firm identifies its intended audience, the question it addresses, the data and assumptions on which it relies, and any material limitations. Work product is prepared for the named recipient and the stated purpose; it should not be distributed, relied on, or reproduced outside that context without the firm's written consent.

8 · Limits of opinion

Actuarial opinions express the actuary's professional judgement in the face of inherent uncertainty about future events. They are not guarantees. Where the underlying data, assumptions, or governance environment changes materially, the opinion may require update or withdrawal.

Nothing in any work product issued by the firm constitutes legal advice, tax advice, accounting advice, or an investment-advisory recommendation.
